Produced by specialist weavers in Europe, this 'Jacobean' Linen Twill is produced exclusively for The Crewel Work Company to strict historic, loom-state specifications, and faithfully replicates the highest-quality Linen Twill used in 17th and 18th Century English and Scottish Crewel Work.

If you choose to work with our Jacobean Linen Twill in your embroidery or textile projects, you will be rewarded not only with an incredible finish, showcasing your embroidery at its absolute best, but also with a ground fabric which stands the test of time and which will allow your creation to become an heirloom to be passed down for many generations to come.

Note the Large Project size can be used for the Embroidery Guild of America's Technical Excellence in Crewel Project #4. Of course, you can order that for any other project you wish as well (i.e. not exclusive for that class).
