John James Embroidery Needles

John James needles have been around since the very start of needle manufacture in the UK. These finely crafted needles are known for their great quality and reliability and are a favorite of mine.

Embroidery/Crewel needles have a longer eye than a standard Sharps needle, making them more suitable for threading stranded cotton. Apart from this, their length and diameter and point profile is akin to that of a Sharps needle.

Note the higher the number, the smaller the needle:
Size 5 41.5mm length x 0.76mm diameter
Size 6 38.5mm length x 0.69mm diameter
Size 7 38.5mm length x 0.69mm diameter
Size 8 34mm length x 0.61mm diameter
